51 x 110 x 1 cm
2025
This ongoing series focuses on discovering forms and patterns in culinary practice during some part-time work in a private kitchen. We are surrounded by hidden beauty in apparently mundane events. Each artwork captures such fleeting observations, translating them into abstract patterns and colors. The title ‘kata’ reflects the repetitive, meditative nature of the tasks that serve as portals to these hidden moments. The challenge and joy lies in translating these temporal discoveries into my work, showcasing the transubstantiation of something purely functional into something visually superlative; when the everyday reveals itself as extraordinary.
