"Brown Food Rhapsody" was inspired by memories of my parents' first trip to Britain from Japan. While Japanese food is often about subtle colors and careful plating, I remember how they fell completely in love with British comfort food—all those hearty browns and generous portions of well-cooked, oily goodness. Through these works featuring classics like Fish & Chips and Sunday Roast, this series celebrates how these simple, humble dishes become powerful soul medicine, lifting our spirits and bringing emotional comfort regardless of their nutritional value. Each piece reflects on that beautiful discovery that sometimes the most nourishing food isn't about health benefits at all—it's about how it makes your heart feel.
